Mike Collins Lead Vocals / Guitar
A founding member of Threshold Mike is originally from the Bay Area. He has been performing for over 30 years including performances abroad. Mike has lent his considerable musical skills to many projects. Mike’s superb vocals are a step above the ordinary with his soulful voice.
John de Jonge Trumpet / Trombone / Vocals
Co-founding member of Threshold John started playing the trumpet in Junior High school. When graduating from High school he received the Bank of America Achievement Award in the field of Music. In the Navy he was the lead trumpet player for his ships Big Band. He played in the Jazz and Concert Bands in college. Since then he has performed in groups playing everything from classical to rock and gospel to jazz.
Steve Preston Lead Guitar / Vocals
Steve has been a member of Threshold since 2002. He brings over 40 years musical experience, 20 of that playing out of Nashville for the likes of Louis Mandrell and Johnny Paycheck. He has made appearances on the Grand Ole’ Opry, The Tonight Show and Austin City Limits. Although his background is mainly Country he has a real love for Rock and Roll and it shows in his playing.
Dave Monday Bass / Vocals
With over 45 years’ experience Dave has played hundreds of gigs. Dave became part of Threshold in 2006 after 13 years with Spellbound, he also played with locals Vinnie Smith, Ann Loureiro, DJ Slate and Rocket 88, and Shelly Streeter. Over the years, have played as an "opening" act for Eddie Money, Dr. Hook, Elvin Bishop, Hal Katchum, David Lindley, and Taj Mahal.
Chris Comacho Drums / Voacals
Chris joined Threshold in 2009. He was born in Honolulu, Hawaii and raised in California. Chris has been playing for 20 years with several rock bands in the Central Valley. Influences include Steve Gadd, John Bonham, Vinnie Colaiuta, Steve Smith, Chris McHugh, Dean Castronova, and Dave Weckl. Chris enjoys all genres of music including Rock, Classics, Mo Town, Country, Funk, and Soul.
Martin Martinez Tenor and Alto Sax / Flute / Vocals
Whether as a musician, private instructor, or visual artist, Marty's contributions are in constant demand. He's been part of three Modesto Area Music Award (MAMA) winning groups. With four decades of professional experience, Marty has opened up for or performed with such notable performers as Bill Watrous, Jon Faddis, James Moody, Clark Terry, Sal Nistico, Ed Thigpen, Ray Charles, Little Anthony and the Imperials, The Temptations, The Four Tops, Bob Newhart, Cheech Marin, Don Rickels, Joan Rivers, and Carol Channing. Marty has performed in over a half-dozen countries and has been part of Threshold since 2014.
